Overview
Registered nurses in Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Westmoreland and other surrounding counties are well positioned to take advantage of the locally-delivered RN to BSN program at Penn State New Kensington. This fully accredited, 120-credit nursing curriculum is offered through our partners at the Penn State Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing. Penn State Nursing is a premiere educator of nursing students throughout the state, with this program specifically designed for current RNs who want to earn their BSN.
Penn State New Kensington also offers prerequisite courses for students enrolling in diploma, associate degree and baccalaureate nursing programs. Students may complete several of the RN to BSN Nursing courses without a RN License while in a pre-licensure nursing program.
Our students can take one of three different paths to becoming a registered nurse. Read this General Information to see all of the options available when it comes to obtaining a nursing education at Penn State.
