New Ken Digital Foundry Tech Showcase - Premier Automation Robot

Anthony Gioia, automation engineer for Premier Automation, showcases a FANUC America automated collaborative robot during the inaugural Industry Leader Technology Showcase hosted by Penn State New Kensington and the Digital Foundry at New Kensington on Sept. 8. The event featured keynote presentations and demonstrations highlighting connected system technology and solutions that will be available at the Digital Foundry at New Kensington for regional manufacturing leaders and workforce development.

Digital Foundry at New Kensington Computer Lab Rendering

A rendering of a computer lab for the Digital Foundry at New Kensington, a state-of-the-art digital innovation lab to be built in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, and open in spring 2022. The project is a partnership between Penn State New Kensington and the Economic Growth Connection of Westmoreland. The building is designed by R3A Architecture of Pittsburgh.

Penn State Behrend awarded 669 undergraduate and graduate degrees at two outdoor commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 8. The ceremonies were held at Behrend's soccer stadium, with COVID safety protocols in place for the duration of each program.

Senior psychology major Mitchell Stokes, left, graduated at a ceremony held on the Penn State Schuylkill campus on Saturday, May 8, 2021. Stokes is a Navy veteran who owns his own gym and is father to the happy little girl in this image. Following graduation, he plans to pursue graduate studies with the goal of ultimately working as a mental health professional for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
